Student feedback on every trip you run
Just after they return, students rate how the trip was run. You see how each trip was delivered, measured the same way on every trip, for every school.
What students rate
Students rate eight parts of the trip: Preparation, Novelty, Challenge, Autonomy, Educator, Reflection, Group and Transitions. The questions are the same on every trip, so each trip reads against the ones before it.
What you see, and what you do not
You see how each trip was delivered, rated by the students who went. You do not see any one school's report on what changed for its students, or any student's answers. Where schools choose to share, you see outcomes pooled across them. Figures are reported only for groups of ten students or more.
A trip reaches your report either way round: you start it and invite the school to take it, or a school names you when it sets the trip up.
Why schools will ask
The Department for Education's Enrichment Framework asks each school in England to have “clear and proportionate processes for feedback and review of work with external partners” (indicator 6.2), and to track pupil outcomes over time (benchmark 7). The enrichment benchmarks, GOV.UK (checked 20 October 2026)
The LOtC Quality Badge asks the same of providers. Its fourth quality indicator reads “The provider reviews the experience and acts upon feedback”. What is quality?, Council for Learning Outside the Classroom (checked 20 October 2026) The council says its indicators are under review.
